Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a membership-based healthcare model where families pay a monthly fee for access to a range of primary care services. This allows for more personalized care, longer appointments, and direct access to your provider without the barriers that often come with insurance-based care.
In traditional pediatric care, insurance companies often dictate how much time you get with your provider and the types of services covered while also charging a copay in addition to your premium. With DPC, there is no insurance middleman or copay. This allows us to spend more time with each family, provide more flexible communication (like texting or video calls), and offer more personalized care for your child’s needs.
We care for children from birth through young adult, supporting your family as your child grows and their healthcare needs evolve.
Your membership fee covers unlimited office visits, well-child checkups, sick visits, preventive care, care coordination, and phone, text, and video consultations when needed. It also includes routine services such as lab tests and minor procedures that are necessary for your child’s health and well-being.
DPC memberships are not covered by insurance. However, DPC is intended to complement your existing insurance. You can still use your insurance for major medical needs like specialist visits, hospitalizations, and emergencies.
Yes, absolutely! While DPC covers your primary care needs, you can still use your traditional insurance for specialist visits, hospital stays, and emergency care. DPC focuses on providing personalized, ongoing care, but you’ll still be able to utilize insurance for other services.
Scheduling an appointment is easy! You can contact us directly via phone, text, or email.
Yes, we offer after-hours care through phone, text, and video consultations for urgent needs. Your child’s health doesn’t stop when the office closes, and we are here to help with urgent questions or concerns outside of regular office hours.
If your child has an urgent health concern after hours, simply reach out via phone or text. We will be available to provide guidance, answer questions, or help determine if an emergency room visit is needed.
As board-certified lactation consultants with over 20 years of combined experience, we provide dedicated support to breastfeeding families. We offer in-person consultations, troubleshooting, and advice to help ensure a smooth breastfeeding experience for both mother and baby.
While DPC focuses on primary care, we can help coordinate care and refer your child to trusted specialists when necessary. We will work closely with specialists to ensure a seamless experience and help with follow-up care.
Yes! We offer virtual visits for many non-urgent concerns, check-ups, and follow-up appointments. This makes it easier for you to get the care you need from the comfort of your home.
DPC is a great option for families who want more personalized, accessible, and proactive care. If you prefer having more direct communication with your provider, longer appointment times, and flexibility around your child’s healthcare needs, DPC may be the perfect fit. If you’re unsure, we're happy to schedule a consultation to discuss how DPC can benefit your family.
While we strongly recommend your child follow the CDC immunization schedule, your child’s vaccination status will not impact their ability to become a member. We are committed to providing care that respects each family’s individual values and healthcare choices. We can provide information about vaccinations to help guide you in making the best decision for your child.
Direct Primary Care is often more affordable than traditional insurance-based care when you consider the personalized attention, longer visits, and included services. The membership fee covers many primary care services that would typically require separate copays or out-of-pocket costs in traditional settings. It allows you to budget for healthcare more predictably without surprise bills. We understand that finances are an important consideration, so our monthly membership fees help make DPC care accessible for families. If you have questions about pricing or want to discuss payment options, we're happy to have a conversation to see how we can make it work for your family.
If you’re out of town and your child needs care, you can still reach out to us for advice and support via phone, text, or video consultation. For non-urgent concerns, we can guide you on how to manage things from a distance or help you find local resources if needed. In case of an emergency, we’ll provide you with recommendations for local care, and we can stay in touch to ensure your child receives the appropriate treatment.
If either of us is out of town or unavailable, we work together to ensure that your child’s care is uninterrupted. We will notify our patients in advance when we plan to be out of the office. We will cover each other's patients for any urgent needs when able, so you’ll always have access to care when you need it. Whether it’s for an emergency or just a quick question, one of us will be available to help, providing peace of mind no matter the situation.
